It is created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a POWERFUL MESSAGE about the need for action on global warming.

Be part of making Earth Hour 2008 a huge, global success by telling your friends and family. Remember, every single light makes a statement and makes a difference.

Last year, on 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney (Australia) businesses turned off their lights for one hour – Earth Hour. This massive collective effort reduced Sydney’s energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour, which is the equivalent effect of taking 48,000 cars off the road for one hour.

Way to Go GREEN. Banning the styrofoam once and for all

I'm very delighted to hear the news that USM has ban the use of styrofoam containers once and for all.  ^o^
The first thing that came through my mine was the faces of those who helped in making this possible especially all the dedicated committee members. 
It's been a long and tiring journey since the beginning of the establishment of KAS club, i sincerely thank each and everyone of you for making a stand and making a difference.

Highlight of Nagasaki University School Festival

On 22-24 November, NU celebrates the annual school festival.
Just like our Convocation celebration with ton's of events, exhibitions and stalls.
I noticed some difference which we can learn and implement it in our school.

All the price of items sold are given huge discount on the last day in the evening.


The students sell organic vegetables grown in the university.

The poster caught my eye when we passed by the environmental department booth.


They did far more better then Convocation in USM.
Items are seperated into 9 catagories!!! Unbelievable isn't it.
