Photo of the day - Only time will tell

This was my first bird shot taken 2 weeks ago while i was doing my research at Pulau Burung.

The place is called Pulau Burung because there are a lot of migratory birds as well as local birds nesting and feeding in that location.

But unfortunately that place is also a landfill site for Penang state. Big part of the mangrove forest has been cleared to get a place to 'store' your dumps! Yes you... i'm talking about your dumps penangites!!

It is raining season this months, the leachate collected from the landfill site has overflown and drained out to the nearby streams and rivers. Sad case... I think i should post some photos of the leachate pond and rubbish mountains next time. I wonder how long these sunbirds can survive in this area.

Only time will tell...
